Byron brings a diversified business perspective, with experience as an advisor, investor, and company leader. 

After beginning his career in investment banking – with a focus on M&A advisory for publicly-traded technology, media and telecommunications companies – Byron spent several years as a private equity investor, acquiring growth-stage healthcare and technology companies then partnering with the Board of Directors. Byron later joined the management team of a small software consulting company, leading the transition to new ownership and leadership. After successfully growing that business, Byron launched a holding company that brought together four software consulting firms under one partnership. As CEO, he was accountable for a $50M P&L and over 300 employees.    

Byron holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Management from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. During his MBA, he concentrated in Entrepreneurship and Behavioral Science, and was a Teaching Assistant for the course Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition.
